Tekken 8 DLC Roadmap — Year 2 Just Got Real
Bandai Namco confirmed the Tekken 8 Year 2 DLC roadmap at last weekend’s pre-EVO Japan showcase. Five characters and two systems updates land between May 2026 and April 2027.
Confirmed characters: Lei Wulong (May), Anna Williams (August), Roger Jr. (November), Tetsujin (January 2027), and a new original character codenamed “Silver” (March 2027). Lei’s reveal trailer was met with the loudest applause of any character drop since Tekken 8’s launch.
The systems updates matter as much as the roster. The first update lands alongside Anna in August and rewrites the Heat system’s recovery balance — the single most-requested change from the competitive scene since launch. The second update arrives with Tetsujin in January and overhauls the wakeup-mixup metagame.
Pricing follows the existing pass model: $24.99 for the four-character pass plus the new character not included in the pass. Bandai also confirmed the full Year 2 content (including Heat rebalance) ships free to all players, with characters being the only paid content.
Lei is the headline. The Heat rebalance is the actual scene-shifting change. Tekken 8’s Year 2 reads as the strongest fighting game roadmap in 2026.
