Path of Exile 2 Just Shipped Its Biggest Endgame Patch Yet

By The Frag Hub Desk · April 25, 2026

GGG’s long-promised “Atlas 2.0” patch landed last week and quietly fixes the issues that drove half the early-access community away.

The headline change is a complete rework of the Atlas progression. Maps now drop with deterministic mods, the trade-stash UI handles bulk listings without the previous timeout problems, and the new “Voidstone” system gives a clear, exponential late-game progression curve. Steam concurrents jumped 40% in 72 hours.

The build diversity story is also better. Three previously dead skill trees received targeted buffs, and the new ascendancy reroll system means you can experiment without losing 30 hours of progression. Builds-by-the-numbers content creators have already published 18 patch-day guides.

GGG also confirmed that the next major content patch is six weeks out, which is a meaningful cadence improvement over the original Path of Exile’s seasonal model. Early access feedback evidently landed.

The Hub Take

Atlas 2.0 is the patch that takes PoE 2 from “promising EA” to “real PoE replacement.” If you bounced earlier in the year, this is the moment to come back.
