Wi-Fi 7 Routers Worth Buying in 2026
Wi-Fi 7 router prices finally dropped to mainstream territory this quarter. Three routers across three price bands cover any home setup.
Top pick at $499 is the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE96. Tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with proper 320 MHz channels, 10 Gbps WAN port, and AiMesh 2.0 support that handles whole-home roaming better than any competitor at the price. Gaming-specific QoS works as advertised.
Mid-range pick at $329 is the TP-Link Archer BE800. It loses some of the gaming-specific features but matches the ASUS on raw throughput in our tests. The web UI is dramatically better than TP-Link routers from two years ago.
Budget pick at $179 is the Eero Max 7. The mesh-first design works beautifully, the throughput holds up in the dual-band variant, and Apple users get HomeKit integration. The trade-off is the smaller, simpler app — power users want more controls than Eero exposes.
ROG Rapture GT-BE96 for max throughput. Archer BE800 for value. Eero Max 7 for whole-home mesh. Three clean answers across three price tiers.
