League of Legends MSI 2026 Power Rankings — Pre-Group Stage

By The Frag Hub Desk · April 25, 2026

MSI 2026 has the strongest tournament field on paper since 2022. Power rankings before the play-ins start.

Tier 1 is T1 and Gen.G — and it is genuinely too close to call between them this cycle. T1 looks more polished mid-late game, Gen.G has the more aggressive early-game identity. Both are favored to make finals.

Tier 2 is JDG, BLG and Top Esports out of LPL — three teams that would each be Tier 1 in any other region. Tier 3 is G2 (representing LEC), Cloud9 (LCS), and CFO (LCP). Three regions, three legitimate dark-horse picks.

The single most interesting matchup is whichever LPL team draws T1 in the upper bracket. The current LPL meta has not lost to LCK in best-of formats since last year’s Worlds, and the bracket pressure of MSI is the only stage where that gets tested.

The Hub Take

T1 vs Gen.G is the headline. The LPL teams are the actual unpredictable variable.
