Top 5 PC Games Launching in May 2026
After an absolutely loaded April, May’s PC release calendar is leaner — but there are still five launches worth wishlisting.
Top of the list is Eternal Strands by Yellow Brick Games, which moves from console exclusive to a full PC launch on May 7. The traversal-and-puzzle hybrid demoed well on consoles and the PC version adds proper ultrawide support, raytraced reflections, and uncapped framerates.
Right behind it are Frostpunk 2 Console Edition (which gets a PC parity patch the same week), Dragon Trainer Pro from independent studio Lost Lake, the unexpected RTS revival Steel Storm: Reborn, and Pacific Drive’s major content pack landing as a premium expansion. Five very different vibes for a single month.
Notable absences include any of the heavyweight publisher slots — Ubisoft, EA, and Take-Two are all skipping May. That makes the indie and mid-budget space even more relevant for anyone hunting wishlist candidates.
May is a month for indies and patches. Eternal Strands is the easy headliner, but the Pacific Drive expansion is the actual sleeper pick.
